Here at g33k-e.com, we’re all about everything geek related. Here you will find all kinds of articles related to geekdom in some sort of way. Whether it’s a hot deal or a free game, or even an opinion piece about how James Cameron is a major tool, you’re sure to find it here. Our goal is to be an all purpose website for geeks everywhere to enjoy and participate in. In fact, if you’d like to be a contributor to g33k-e.com, please feel free to e-mail us your resume and some samples of your work. We can’t offer you anything in return just yet, but eventually we plan to offer a cut of the site’s earnings to anyone and everyone who is a major contributor to g33k-e.com.
Right now we have five contributors to our site:
That’s me! I’m the founder, editor and writer for the site. I’ve been writing film reviews and articles for MovieCynics.com for about a year now and I have experience elsewhere in the field as well. I started this website so that me and my friends would be able to gain more experience writing for the internet. Another big reason for the foundation of this website is for all of the articles and opinion pieces I’ve wanted to write on different subjects but haven’t been able to in other areas. I feel that there are not enough well written and well balanced, unbiased articles on the subjects of video games and technology out there. One of my main goals is to bring new light to subjects that don’t get enough of the attention they deserve.
The Garbage Gamer
This guy is one of the smartest and most well versed gamers I know. He’s called The Garbage Gamer because he always finds a way to scrap together the tools required for gaming, regardless of funds or anything else. This is a guy who built an arcade machine for a couple hundred bucks! He knows about all the best free games online and he’s always got his finger on the pulse of the gaming world. Collector of many old school consoles and gaming products, The Garbage Gamer proudly accepts his name as a badge of honor. Why shouldn’t he?
The Ron is a super geek, knowledgeable in all things tech and science fiction. Oh, and did I mention that he’s a huge Trekkie? Yeah, if anyone on g33k-e.com knows about the world of Star Trek, it is The Ron. That being said, like all of us, he has extensive experience in all fields of geekdom. Ron contributes whenever possible and he is a true supporter of the g33k-e style of life. We’re glad to have him on board and we hope to see more from him in the near future.
Skinslip is yet another geek of all trades, but he started out his contributions here on g33k-e.com with some of the most in depth historical overviews of DVD labels such as Mill Creek and Anchor Bay. He has a zest for writing and for sharing his love of all things geeky with the rest of the geek world. As such, we are proud to have him on board as regular contributor to the site. You can expect him to contribute in several different areas, because he’s got a lot to say about a lot of different subjects.
Victory On The Hill
VOTH loves the geek world, but has a lot of experience writing about Comic Books in particular. If you look around on the site, I’m sure you’ll find more than a few contributions from Victory on the Hill! Check out his issue one reviews to get a taste for what the latest and greatest comics are really like!
Nexus has quickly become one of the premier content contributors for G33k-e.com, producing weekly articles about both new and old films. With The Film Frame, he takes a look at more serious films; With Planet Cult he gives us some insight into cult classics that we may never have heard of; And with At The Movies, Nexus gives us a little flavor from the most recent films to hit the big screen. This guy knows quite a bit about movies, so if that’s what you’re into, he’s your guy!
ThrustBone helps us with some of the more difficult aspects of running the site, but he has also made a name for himself by providing obituaries for well known and appreciated artists in the G33k world who have sadly passed on. In addition, you’ll sometimes find him writing articles about music and movies!
Some have called her Web Mistress, but we just think of Crimson Ooze as the binding factor that holds the site together. She has aided in the design of the website in many ways, keeping things updated and working well in the background. Without her, I’m not quite sure what we would do! See that G33k-e title? Yeah, she made that. Crimson Ooze is pretty awesome.
For more information about our regular contributors, please look in the bottom right hand corner for a link to their information and content.
If you would like to be a contributor, please do not be shy. I am ready and willing to open the doors of g33k-e.com to everyone who wants a chance to let their inner g33k out. Other sites might be more guarded about who they let in, but we’re all about the community here. We want geeks of all walks of life to help out here at g33k-e.com and we’ve already got a great base of them doing just that. Here’s hoping for many more in the near future! 🙂
