Paranormal Activity 4 – Movie Trailers

Even though I know the typical fate of a movie series like this, I’ve still had high hopes for the Paranormal Activity franchise. The first three films have been surprisingly good, so I was actually looking forward to the fourth, regardless of how rarely horror franchises tend to impress beyond the first few films. With so many different places to take the story, I figured that Paranormal Activity 4 would be yet another awesome branch in the story. It may very well be, but this first trailer doesn’t exactly give us a lot to work with.

It would appear that in this trailer, we see an older Hunter (from Paranormal Activity 2) in the yard of some family we don’t yet know. When he looks up at a girl in the window, all the lights go off and strange things start happening. We don’t yet know what the significance of all this is, but this Paranormal Activity 4 trailer has got my interests piqued.

That being said, it’s not as if we haven’t been faked out by a Paranormal Activity trailer in the past. If this trailer remains true to the trends, most of what we see here probably won’t make it into the actual film. Even if this does end up being a rather odd branch off of the main story, it could still be a pretty good movie. I’d prefer not to be the type to review a movie based solely on its trailer, so I’ll be waiting for the actual release of this one in theaters. You can expect a full review then, but for now you’ll just have to be happy with what is almost certainly a teaser trailer in every sense of the term. Check out the Paranormal Activity 4 trailer above, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
